Delta Life celebrates International Women’s Day, 2017
Delta Life celebrated International Women’s Day 2017 on March 19, 2017 by organizing a conference at it’s Head Office, Delta Life Tower, Gulshan – 2, Dhaka. More than 300 successful female workers of Delta Life participated in the conference. Mrs. Khushi Kabir, Co-Ordinator, ‘Nijera Kori’ was present at the conference as Chief Guest. Ms. Sutopa Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor, IBA, Dhaka University was present as Special Guest. Company’s Chief Executive Officer (Current Charge) Ms. Adeeba Rahman, ACII(UK) and Mrs. Suraiya Rahman, Director were also present.
At the conference, Company’s Chief Executive Officer (Current Charge) Ms. Adeeba Rahman congratulated all the female workers by saying, “Gono -Grameen Bima is playing a significant role in alleviating the life standard of poor people of the country. Delta Life introduced Micro Insurance Project named ‘Gono-Grameen Bima’ in 1988 to provide life insurance benefits to the poor and underprivileged population in both urban and rural areas of Bangladesh. More than seven thousand out of eleven thousand development workers of Gono-Grameen Bima are female.’ She asked all female workers to stay focused on this target by contributing more. The Program ended with a colorful cultural program.
